Mary Chiarot – Vice President & General Manager, Garland Canada (Welbilt Company)

Mary Chiarot is a dynamic and respected leader with over 20 years in the global foodservice equipment industry, serving as Vice President and General Manager of Garland Canada starting in 2011, following her previous position of Global Sales & Marketing for Garland Brand where she played a pivotal role in shaping product strategies and solutions while working with Global customers. With deep expertise in sales strategy, distribution management, and channel partnerships, Mary oversees the national operations of a multi-brand portfolio that includes some of the most trusted names in commercial kitchen equipment — including Garland, Cleveland, Convotherm, Delfield, Beverage Air, Frymaster, Lincoln, and Merrychef.

Throughout her career, Mary has demonstrated a consistent ability to align business growth with operational excellence. She plays a pivotal role in managing dealer relationships, engaging with consultants, and steering Garland Canada’s national presence in a highly dynamic market. Her leadership is marked by a commitment to innovation, customer relationships, engagement, and solutions. Mary place’s high importance to long-term industry collaborations including Canada’s culinary and hospitality educational institutes – a cornerstone for developing the future leaders of this great industry.

Mary is also Chair of the Canadian Hospitality Foundation, where she champions scholarship and mentorship initiatives that support the next generation of hospitality leaders. Prior to taking on the role of Chair, Mary served as Vice Chair and a long-time member of the advisor committee. She is also a Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute. Mary is a passionate advocate for the industry, she is deeply committed to advancing its future through education, workforce development, and cross-sector engagement.

Under her leadership, Garland Canada has proudly contributed to supporting students in their pursuit of education as will as providing a platform to grow, develop through experiential events like the Garland Culinary Competition at the RC Show, in partnership with Restaurants Canada — reflecting her dedication to culinary talent development and excellence in Canadian hospitality.

Based in Oakville, Ontario, Mary brings more than strategic expertise to the table — she brings vision, purpose, and an unwavering belief in the power of hospitality to shape communities and careers.
