Jacques began his career at The Garland Group in 1985 in entry level sales and customer service. Working his way through progressive administrative and management roles, Jacques was named President of the Garland Group in 2000, a position he held for 13 years. As President, Jacques established a common global vision for the organization; and recruited, mentored and developed a
results-oriented executive team that expanded sales into 100+ countries and built Garland into a world leader in cooking equipment.
Under Jacques’ leadership, Garland was recognized with three U.S National Restaurant Association Innovation Awards in twelve months. His team was also the first ever in their field to win the Canadian Food Service and Hospitality Pinnacle Award.
In 2013, Jacques was promoted to the Vice President of Global Product Development position of $4 billion NYSE traded company Manitowoc, Garland’s parent company. Jacques was then promoted to Senior VP of Strategic Planning and Process Improvement at Manitowoc and was a member of both the executive leadership team of the Foodservice Division and the senior leadership team of Manitowoc Corporation. In his last assignment, Jacques was the Canadian V.P and G.M for Welbilt Corporation overseeing all Canadian-based companies.
Jacques is a current Director, Treasurer and served Past Chair of the Board of the Canadian Hospitality Foundation. He is also a Fellow of the Ontario Hostelry Institute and is a member of Canadore College’s Hall of Fame. He was nominated for the Ontario Premiers Award and in 2015, received an Honorary Degree from Humber College.
Jacques currently serves on numerous Boards of Directors and is the Founder of Mineola Consulting Inc. where he is an Executive Advisor and Coach helping companies and leaders achieve their goals.
