Direct Sponsored Scholarship Program

Would you like to encourage a future industry leader to continue their studies and to enter into our fast-paced, demanding and exciting industry?

Would you like to make a contribution that will help the future of the hospitality, lodging, foodservice and tourism industry?

If the answer is yes to the above questions, then you have come to the right place.

The Direct Sponsored Scholarship Program allows organizations and or individuals from the hospitality and foodservice industry to create their own scholarship(s) based on their own criteria and also allows them to design their own selection process and to select the school or schools they would like to support.  See the Create a Direct Sponsorship section for more information.

Benefits

We are very grateful to our Direct Sponsored Scholarship donors and we therefore like to showcase them where we can.

  • Each donor is listed on our Direct Sponsored Scholarship donor page
  • Promotion of the organization’s scholarship to all applicable training facilities where scholarship is offered
  • Invitation to the Scholarship Award Ceremony and cocktail reception of the annual fundraising Benefit Gala
  • Name listed in the printed program of the annual Benefit Gala
  • Tax receipt for the full amount of the donation

If you would like to donate to the Scholarship Program in a value that is less than $1,000 we would like to suggest our Group Sponsored Scholarship Program.

Group Sponsored Scholarship Program:

With our Group Sponsored Scholarship Program, you can make a donation as small as $50. Your name and your donation will be accumulated into a Group Sponsored Scholarship. Once the value of your group scholarship reaches $1,000 it is closed and awarded to a scholarship recipient. The Canadian Hospitality Foundation will select the category of scholarship and allocate the scholarship to an appropriate participating school. Each donor who participated in the Group Sponsored Scholarship will be mentioned in our Gala program, on our website and of course to the winner themselves. All donations also receive a tax receipt for the allowable donated amount as stipulated by the Canada Revenue Agency. Make a Group Sponsored Scholarship Donation.

Financial Endowments:

A financial endowment is a donation of money (or property) to a not for profit or charitable organization for the ongoing support of that organization and its programs. Typically the endowment is structured so that the principal amount is kept intact while the investment income is available for use, or part of the principal is released each year, which allows for the donation to have an impact over a longer period than if it were spent all at once.

If you are interested in providing an endowment to the Canadian Hospitality Foundation while you are living or through your will, please contact the Foundation office directly.
